The T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 was held in the United States of America and West Indies. For this edition of the World Cup, a total of 20 nations participated. The shorter format of the game has gained huge popularity among people in recent years.
ICC has divided all 20 teams into different groups by combining stronger nations along with associate teams. The total of four groups has been derived with 5 teams in one pool. By including associate and lesser experienced nations in each pool, the stronger team has a huge advantage in qualifying for the Super 8 stage.

Which Teams Will Qualify for the Super 8 stage?
Based on the overall performance of each team in recent T20 Internationals and squad members, here is the prediction for a team that can qualify for the Super 8 stage.
Group A – India & Pakistan
In Group A the format T20 World Cup winners India and Pakistan are more likely to qualify for the Super 8 round. India will face their arch-rivals Pakistan on the 9th of June in New York.
Along with these two top Asian teams, tournament hosts USA along with Canada and Ireland are included in Group A. As far as records and experience are concerned, India and Pakistan can easily defeat other teams without any trouble.
Group B – Australia & England
Defending Champions England along with the strongest Australian team anticipated the next stage of the tournament from Group B. Associate teams like Namibia, Oman, and Scotland lack international experience and exposure to face the two strong nations.
Group C – New Zealand & West Indies
The host and two-team T20 World Cup winners West Indies coming back to the ICC tournament and losing their chance to participate in World Cup 2023. The stronger squad and experienced players who participated in all other top T20 leagues come together to make Windies to victory path in this ICC tournament.

Group D – South Africa & Sri Lanka
In Group D, South Africa is expected to advance to the Super 8 stage without any trouble after facing other teams. The new arch rivalry between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be an interesting game to watch out for in the tournament.
The winners of the game most probably decided as the second nation from Group D to qualify for the knockout stage. The inexperienced Nepal and Netherlands might have a good time playing in the ICC World Cup tournament. However, the associate nations have no chance to qualify for the Super 8 Stage.
