Aadhav Arjuna, former deputy general secretary of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), has officially joined actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party. He has been appointed as the General Secretary of Election Campaign Management for TVK, a key role as the party gears up for future elections.
Aadhav Arjuna joined Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)
The move follows a series of events that began in January 2025 when Arjuna and Vijay publicly shared a platform at a book launch event centered around a work on Ambedkar. It was during this event that both Arjuna and Vijay voiced criticisms against the ruling DMK party, setting the stage for subsequent political shifts.
Following Arjuna’s controversial remarks, VCK took swift action, suspending him for six months on December 9, 2024, citing “defiant activities” that contradicted the party’s official stance. In response, Arjuna made the decision to resign from VCK on December 15, 2024, paving the way for his eventual alignment with TVK.
VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan has publicly extended his well wishes to Arjuna for his new endeavor with TVK. Thirumavalavan stated, “I heard from news reports that he is going to join actor Vijay’s party and take up the role of political strategist. I wish him all the best,” indicating a level of understanding and goodwill despite the circumstances.
