After the massive victory in the general elections, Narendra Modi is all set to take oath as the prime minister of India. On 9th June 2024, Modi will be sworn in for a third term at 7.15 pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Prime Minister Modi won the Varanasi seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections by 1,52,513 votes. This means he got 1,52,513 more votes than the candidate who came in second place.
The former Chief Minister of Gujarat was elected as the Prime Minister of India for the first time in 2014 after his party won 282 seats. Following his second term in 2019 to 2024 after defeating his opponent’s congress party in a massive 303 seats.
In 2024, the number of seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party will be lesser compared to the last two terms. However, the BJP made alliances with other parties in different states to make government in Delhi.
TDP & JD(U) Support
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) led by Chandra Babu Naidu in Andra Pradesh has won 16 seats and the Janata Dal-United (JDU) party led by Nitish Kumar in Bihar has secured 12 seats in the 2024 Lok Shaba elections. Both the leading parties of respective states allied with the BJP party and will give their support to ensure making Modi is Prime Minister.
According to insider news, The Bharatiya Janata Party decided to allocate important ministries to both Telugu Desam Party and Janata Dal-United in the cabinet. Ministers like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, S. Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman, and Nitin Gadkari are anticipated to continue in their respective positions in the new governance.
