Ramya Joo (Dancer)

Ramya Joo is an Indian stage dancer and social media personality known for performing in Aadalum Paadalum dance Shows. She currently lives in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.

Earlier Life

Ramya Joo was born on February 14, 1996 and is currently 28 years old. She grew up in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. She is Indian by nationality and Tamil by ethnicity. She now lives in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She stands at a height of 1.63 meters and is fluent in both Tamil and English languages.

Ramya faced a difficult childhood with severe family problems. She grew up with her two sisters in a hostel without proper parental care. Her parents separated when she was young.

Her mother remarried and now lives with her new family. Ramya and her sisters cannot call their mother “Amma” in front of the new family and are introduced as “Aunty” to others. The three sisters never received new dresses on their birthdays during childhood. They did not get the love and care that children need from their parents.

Today, Ramya lives independently in a rented house in Thanjavur. She works hard to support her two sisters. Her middle sister works as a manager at D-Mart and helps with house expenses.

Her elder sister has a child and does not work. Ramya has no plans to get married. Her main goals are to get her second sister married, buy her own house, and provide good education to her 8-year-old niece.

Ramya Joo began her professional career around 2018 in the dance field. Before that, she worked as a Junior Artist in Tamil films around 2019, doing small roles and heroine duplicate work.

The pay was only ₹1000, so she returned to stage dancing. She trained in traditional dance forms from a young age, which helped her create a unique style mixing classical and modern moves.

She performed at prestigious competitions and became famous for her appearances in Aadalum Paadalum Shows. Her high-energy performances won her many awards and records.

She earns around ₹5000 per show and makes approximately ₹1 lakh per month from her dance performances. Despite facing harassment from some audience members, she continued dancing to support her family. She plans to leave dancing within three years and pursue acting roles.
